Red-Lined Motorsport heads to the season-ending South African Rally-Raid Championship Waterberg 400 looking to end the year in style. With a championship on the line, two international crews in new T1+ machinery, an exciting rookie crew and familiar faces returning to the fray, it’s all to do at the 10 and 11 November Thabazimbi, Limpopo Province race.

“We head north looking to end our 2023 South African Rally-Raid Championship in style at the Waterberg 400 this weekend, Red-Lined Motorsport CEO Terence Marsh reiterated. “We have a championship on the line, two international crews racing our new top class REVO T1+ machines, an exciting crew fresh off their maiden FIA class win in last week’s upcountry regional event, and some old team mates back in the fold. So we are looking forward to a great race up there.

“Our biggest focus remains around Johan de Bruyn and Gerhard Schutte, who continue to fight for the FIA T1 class championship after a splendid year of action aboard their OdorCure REVO T1. Only a handful of points off the T1 class leaders, it’s a matter of attack all the way for Johan and Gerard who are chasing an epic championship win at the Waterberg. So, it is all to play for as we chase a dream result with the OdorCure boys.”

“We also have two international entries in the top FIA T1+ class. Both of them are getting to grips with their newly acquired Red-Lined REVO T1+ machines as they gear up for their respective 2024 international programs. Our Iberian partners, Dutch crew Dave Klaassen and Tessa Rooth will be out once again in their DaklaPack Rallysport REVO T1+, while Australian crew Adam Kaplan and Dale Moscatt will be racing their AEH Agri & Construction REVO T1+.

“Looking back to the T1 class, we are excited to have Gerhard and Rudi Heinlein out fresh off their maiden victory aboard their Sirkel N Landgoed VK56. Their national progress will once again be interesting to watch this weekend. And last but not least, we are delighted to have the ever consistent Penta boys, Philip Botha and Roelof Janse van Vuren back aboard their Penta Motor Group VK56 after business commitments had kept them away for a while.”

The 2023 season-ending South African Rally-Raid Championship Waterberg 400 starts midday Friday with the 59 km prologue before Saturday’s two 178 km loops around the Crocodile River valley. “Wishing all our crews and the entire Red-Lined Motorsport family a great Waterberg 400 weekend,” Terence Marsh concluded. “Let’s wrap this one up in style!”
