Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) via its motorsport brand Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa (TGRSA), endorsed their commitment to the SA Rally-Raid Championship (SARRC) marking the continuation of this esteemed partnership, which has spanned over many years, and elevated Cross Country and Rally-Raid racing in South Africa to international status.
Toyota has played a significant role in the sport for more than four decades, producing tumultuous Toyota 1000 Desert Race winners and an unequivocal number of Cross Country and SA Rally-Raid champions, while their dedication to the growth and technological advancement of the sport has entrenched the SA Rally-Raid Championship as one of the strongest on the world calendar.
The 2025 Safari Rally – round three of the 2025 World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC) – delivered a worldclass event with the support of TGRSA, while complimenting the structure and stability of the SARRC and further highlighting the depth and the character of the sport.
“Reconfirming the commitment with Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa is a significant milestone for the SARRC and enables us to build on our solid foundation, develop new talent, stay abreast of evolving technology and provide the multitude of on and off-site enthusiasts and spectators a family orientated global spectacle,” said SARRC CEO Archie Rutherford.

The season gets underway on 8, 9 and 10 May in the picturesque surrounds of the upper Langkloof Valley midway between George and Uniondale in the Western Cape before heading to the North West and Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo for the final round of the championship.
