As a service to the sport we all love and follow, Rally-Raid Network posts numerous media releases from a wide variety of sources on our website. Due to the large number, and some times short time available, it is nearly impossible to review each public release. These articles are written by reporters or press officers who work for various organizers, teams, drivers, riders, and other parties, and they do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Rally-Raid Network.
África Eco Race 2026: Route
The wait is over: the 2026 Africa Eco Race route has finally been revealed. A redesigned itinerary, bolder than ever, taking you once again through the heart of Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal, along the legendary tracks of true adventure.
This edition marks a real milestone. For the first time, Tanger will host the scrutineering, followed by the official start. A major moment, amplified by a spectacular prologue raced directly on the beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean. From the very first kilometres, the tone will be set: high pace, precise navigation and total commitment.
Morocco will open the show with an intense mix of forgotten tracks and carefully selected new sections. A breath of fresh air for this opening part, without ever betraying the rally’s DNA.
In Mauritania, the adventure continues across vast sand filled landscapes: endless dunes, long and demanding specials, and two loops which will intensify both strategy and physical management — enough to push your nerves and navigation skills to their limits.
Senegal will offer a magnificent 11th stage, a concentrate of everything that makes African savannah terrain so magical. One last challenge before the long-awaited finish by the shores of the mythical Lac Rose.
Whether in the “modern” or the “historic” race, the 2026 edition promises to be intense. Regulars will rediscover the legendary sensations of African rally-raid, while the new features will bring an unprecedented breath of adventure.
The story continues.
See you in January to write together the next chapter of the Africa Eco Race.
