EBRO Audax Motorsport finishes the fourth special in 16th place and breaks into the overall Top 15

The EBRO Audax Motorsport team delivered another strong performance at the Rallye du Maroc with their EBRO s800 XRR. In the fourth and penultimate stage of the rally, the Spanish duo climbed one more position in the overall standings, now firmly inside the Top 15, after finishing 16th on the stage, just 12 minutes and 34 seconds behind the leader.

Throughout the day, the team continued to test suspension setups on the EBRO s800 XRR, improving their pace — particularly in the first half of the route, which featured a demanding 284 km special stage looping around Erfoud, combining fast dirt tracks, dunes, and sandy riverbeds.

“It was a positive stage for us. We kept adding kilometres without any major issues. We’ve been trying different suspension settings, improved a few aspects compared to yesterday, and felt quite good overall. We’re gradually finding our rhythm. It’s really important for us to be here — this is excellent training for the Dakar,” said Laia Sanz, from Corbera de Llobregat (Barcelona), who shares driving duties with Taye Perry.

During the first half of the stage, the Spanish–South African pairing consistently ran within the Top 15, setting several competitive sector times. Towards the end, a small navigation error cost them a bit of time, but they still managed to secure a very solid 16th place.

“We got a bit lost at one point near the end, but overall it was a good day. In the dunes section, we had to ease off slightly because the temperature gauge was running a bit high, and we didn’t want to take any risks. Other than that, we were able to maintain a good pace,” added Sanz.

The rally concludes this Friday with the fifth and final stage, which will also bring the curtain down on the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) season. The day will feature a 310 km loop around Erfoud, including 216 km of timed special, and for the first time, competitors will face a Power Selective Section — a 31 km timed sprint.
It will be the final competitive outing for the EBRO s800 XRR before it ships off to Saudi Arabia in late November to take part in its first-ever Dakar Rally.
