Our rally world has become poorer today with the passing of Portuguese motorcycle rider Jorge Brandão.
We would also like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jorge Brandão, in this moment of profound sorrow as they face the loss of their loved one.

"Today, October 17, on stage 5 of the Rallye du Maroc, a loop around Erfoud, motorcycle competitor Jorge Brandao, who was participating in the race for the second time, crashed in the dunes at kilometer 214. He was quickly taken in charge by the doctors of a medical helicopter and transported to the hospital in Erfoud, where tragically he passed away.
The Rallye du Maroc, the FIM and the World Rally-Raid Championship offer most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones." -- End.
