Dakar 2026: Yasir Seaidan take 2nd place at the Dakar in the Challenger class.

Saudi driver Yasir Seaidan, alongside his French co-driver Xavier Flick, achieved a remarkable feat by finishing second at the 2026 Dakar Rally in the Challenger category, driving a Taurus T3 Max. They finished 23 minutes behind the winner, Spanish driver Pau Navarro, while Argentine world champion Nico Cavigliasso claimed third place, in an intense competition that delivered high levels of challenge and excitement.
This result represents the best performance by Saudi competitors at the 2026 Dakar, as well as the best result ever achieved by the Nasser Racing team, which provided outstanding technical support, enabling Seaidan and Xavier Flick to fight strongly through to the final stages of the rally.
Yasir Seaidan’s participation was marked by dramatic ups and downs throughout the event. He led the overall standings until the end of the fifth stage, before a mechanical issue caused him to drop back in the rankings. However, his extensive experience and fighting spirit, combined with the precision and professionalism of Xavier Flick, allowed them to quickly get back into contention, particularly during the marathon stage, which proved to be a turning point in their campaign. They then settled into second place overall and held it all the way to the finish line.
Seaidan boasts a highly successful career, with three world championships in the SSV, T3, and T2 categories, placing him among the most prominent Saudi drivers on the international stage.
