Bruno Santos takes a cautious approach to a grueling Dakar Rally stage
Bruno Santos finished the third stage of the 2025 Dakar Rally, a difficult journey with a selective sector of 327 km on the stage from Bisha to Al Henakiyah.
A timed special designed over a course with lots of rocks, which followed the very demanding 48-hour stage, making the day extremely demolishing. The Frutas Patrícia Pilar rider opted for a cautious pace and overcame all the difficulties with his renowned tenacity and resilience.
“Today was a long day. We left very early and arrived very late. The bivouac changed town and we had to make many kilometers of connections, 466 km. The special started with around 100 very hard kilometers, with a lot of rocks, which required very slow driving and I was very careful not to take any risks and throw everything away. From then on, the route went faster until the end. In any case, I was able to do the whole special on my own and improve my navigation,” reveals the Torres Vedras rider, supported by Momento TT, who after three stages is in 17th place in the overall Rally 2 standings.
Tomorrow sees the fourth stage of the 47th edition of the Dakar Rally, the first part of the marathon stage that will take the delegation from Al Henakiyah to Alula over 415 timed kilometers. This will be another trial by fire. The technical tracks leading to AlUla will plunge riders and machines into the canyons for which the region is famous. The riders will only have an hour and a half to work on their machines and will not have any assistance.
