Dakar 2024: Good performace for Ford drivers on today's stage 9
The Ford Performance Neil Woolridge Motorsport M-Sport team had a great day on Stage 9 of #Dakar2024 today. Nani Roma and Alex Haro (#210) returned to the impressive pace we saw in the first week, completing the 417km competitive stage in 13th place overall, just 19 min 31 sec off the day's winner.
Despite starting 140th this morning, Gareth Woolridge and Boyd Dreyer (#225) were classified 45th for the stage (+55:32) and had moved up to 58th position on the road by the end of the stage after passing more than 80 cars, side-by-sides and trucks, let alone all the bikes and quads!
It's an impressive feat requiring intense concentration for the driver in the dust and challenging terrain. Gareth didn't put a foot wrong, while Boyd's spot-on navigation was instrumental in allowing them to make up so many places.
