Things were progressing, but at the second checkpoint the Rainbow Truck Team truck was summoned to leave the stage. On the one hand this was a disappointment, on the other a relief. It was a tough, tough stage. After yesterday's torture, the fight continued today in the Empty Quarter. Gerrit Zuurmond, Tjeerd van Ballegooij and Klaas Kwakkel overcame another 150 kilometers of dunes before an official of the organization indicated with crossed arms that it was done for today.
The public road was sought and so the men rode in the MAN to the finish. There the truck was stamped and they continued to the bivouac.
