Nani Roma and Alex Haro (#210) had a fantastic day on Stage 4 of #Dakar2024, comprising 299km of competitive stage and 332km liaison, taking them from Al Salamiya to Al-Hofuf. Despite starting 33rd on the road this morning and having to deal with tricky navigation, they powered their way to a brilliant 13th place, just 14 min 37 sec off the stage winner. This moves Nani and Alex up to 15th overall in the general standings (+1:12:53).

Gareth Woolridge -Athlete and Boyd Dreyer (#225) were running as high as 17th at the 126km mark, but a small navigation error cost them about about 5 minutes and they passed the 156km check point in 20th place.

Unfortunately Gareth and Boyd's car subsequently picked up a suspension problem and they are still out on the stage waiting for the team's support truck to arrive so they can make the necessary spares. Fortunately Gareth and Boyd are very handy with the spanners and know the T1+ Ranger inside out, but it's going to be a long day for the crew and they are likely to arrive at the Al-Hofuf bivouac well after dark.
