Dakar 2026: Stage 11: Bruno Santos maintains excellent Dakar standings
The rider supported by Frutas Patrícia Pilar strengthens his 7th place in Rally2, holds 17th overall, and leads the Husqvarna riders.
After arriving today in Al Henakiyah, Bruno Santos has only two stages left in this tough Dakar Rally 2026, where he is achieving his best performance ever in the world’s toughest off-road event, fully meeting the objectives set at the start of the competition.
Today, in an 11th stage successfully completed, the rider supported by Frutas Patrícia Pilar and competing on a Husqvarna 450 Rally — the brand for which he is the top representative — Bruno Santos was the 8th fastest Rally 2 rider. He remains 7th in this category, 32 minutes behind the rider ahead of him in the standings, and holds a 28-minute advantage over the rider in 8th place.
“Another Dakar stage completed. Today was Stage 11. It’s going to be a long day because after the special we still have another 200 km of liaison. It was a fast special with some technical sections in between, with lots of rocks. Fortunately everything went well. There are only two days left until the end of the race and I’m ready for another day,” said the rider from Torres Vedras, who is supported by Momento TT, at the end of the selective sector and before reaching the Al Henakiyah bivouac, after a day that started in Bisha along a demanding route with 347 timed kilometres. The stage was marked by a high number of crossings, forks and junctions, making the course particularly complex for navigation.
The Dakar Rally 2026 continues tomorrow with Stage 12, linking Al Henakiyah to Yanbu. Competitors will face a 310-kilometre timed selective sector, with fast tracks alternating with winding, narrow sections and riverbeds, with a very demanding stretch of dunes reserved for the final part.
