Brad Cox finished 13th in Stage 2 of the 2026 Dakar Rally, a position he also holds in the provisional overall classification.

His teammate from the Sherco Rally Factory Team, Lorenzo Santolino, winner of Stage 3 last year, was unfortunately forced to retire today following a crash that caused significant damage to the bike.

The damage is purely mechanical, and the rider is doing well, even though having to withdraw is extremely hard to accept for the Spanish rider, for whom the Dakar is a major objective.

The Dakar is the toughest race in the world, and it reminds us of that every minute, every hour, every day.

Brad Cox : "A demanding day, had a good flow, caught a couple of guys, and felt strong on both pace and navigation as we settle into the rally. Tough to see another teammate down and out, bummed for Lorezno Santolino . Reset and do it all over again tomorrow."
