Hélder Rodrigues finished the 9th stage of the Dakar today, placing his Polaris in 7th position in the SSV competition on a particularly demanding day that marked the start of the second marathon stage of the world's premier off-road event. The stage featured a 410-kilometer timed special, mostly contested on rocky terrain, culminating in a difficult dune crossing.
At the wheel of a Polaris RZR PRO entered by Santag Racing, the Portuguese driver, navigated by Gonçalo Reis, maintained a good pace. Hélder Rodrigues remains determined to successfully complete what is his 13th participation, second in SSV, in the toughest and most challenging off-road race in the world.
Tomorrow, the Dakar caravan faces the 10th stage of the competition, corresponding to the second part of the marathon stage, which takes competitors from the camp where they are staying tonight to Bisha, covering 371 timed kilometers. This section features an extensive dune sector.
