FIA World Cup, FIA European Cup and Italian Cross Country Championship:
Triple validity for the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone creation, which once again moved well in advance to prepare a top-level challenge.
9 May 2026_ Entries are now open for the 2026 Italian Baja, once again organised by the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 Pordenone, scheduled from Wednesday, June 24, to Sunday, June 28. A round of both the FIA Baja World Cup and FIA Baja European Cup, the event will also count as the third round of the ACI Sport Italian Cross Country Championship, following the Artugna Race in March and the Sardegna Rally Raid, which will take place next week. The Pordenone Fairgrounds have once again been fully confirmed as the event headquarters, with the exhibition halls occupied for five days by competition vehicles and assistance teams.
Wednesday, June 24 (“welcome day”) will be dedicated to welcoming competitors, while Thursday, June 25 (“scrutineering day”) will feature sporting checks for the crews and technical scrutineering for the vehicles. In the evening, all eyes will turn to Piazza XX Settembre for the spectacular official parade of the rally caravan (“ceremonial start”), including interviews with the main protagonists on a scenic stage equipped with a giant screen. This further underlines how the Italian Baja, once again confirmed among the elite of world off-road competition, is a premier sporting event capable of bringing global attention to Pordenone, Capital of Culture 2027.
On Friday, June 26, the morning will feature the car shakedown on the Meduna riverbed, followed in the afternoon by the start of the competitive action with the prologue stage in Cordenons (start at 17:30), broadcast live on ACI Sport TV, channel 228 on the Sky platform.
Saturday, June 27, will host the key day of the event, with a 160 km selective sector crossing the Meduna, Cosa stream and Tagliamento river areas, to be run twice (starts at 08:30 and 14:30). A neutralisation break is planned approximately halfway through the route, moving between the Pordenone and Udine sides of the Tagliamento river, where refuelling will also be possible. In the evening, the prize-giving ceremony for the Italian Cross Country Championship classification will take place.
Finally, on Sunday, June 28, a final selective sector of almost 100 km will conclude the event valid for the FIA World Cup and FIA European Cup, with the official prize-giving ceremony scheduled for 13:30 at the Fairgrounds. Additional live broadcasts and dedicated programmes are also planned on ACI Sport TV, social media channels and RAI Sport.
