Baja Aragon 2024: Bruno Santos to fight for victory in Aragón
Portuguese driver triumphed in Baja Extremadura and finished third in Rally-Raid Portugal
After a remarkable performance in the world championship round held in Portugal, where he took an unprecedented podium finish, Bruno Santos demonstrated his enormous value a month later by winning the Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura, a round of the Baja World Cup. At the controls of a Husqvarna 450 Rally and supported by Momento TT, the Torres Vedras rider is now betting on another good result at the 40th edition of the Baja España Aragon, the third round of the World Cup, which from July 26 to 28 brings together some of the best teams in the field on the mythical Spanish tracks.
“This year has been a bit different, with more international challenges and races with very different characteristics to the National Cross-Country Championship. After a great participation in the Dakar and two great results in the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal and the Baja Estremadura, where I won my first international race, I'm very motivated to compete in the Baja Aragón, the most important race in Spain. I know that I'll be up against some very strong and important drivers, but I want to do well, I want to repeat the victory, I want to fight for it,” said Bruno Santos, who has been on the podium eleven times this year in the seven races he has competed in.
The 40th edition of the Baja España Aragon will be 810 km long over three days of competition. The race kicks off on Friday with a 7.5 km prologue. There will be 522 timed kilometers over tracks in the 35 municipalities of Jiloca, Gea de Albarracín and Teruel.
