Portuguese driver Daniel Silva, from the northern city of Famalicão, will be taking part in the Baja Aragon, a race taking place in the Spanish region between July 26 and 28, with the center of operations in the city of Teruel.

The race is a first for Daniel Silva, who will be competing in the FIA Cross-Country World Cup in a TAURUS T3 Max, with Gonçalo Magalhães as his navigator.

“It's a first for us and everything will be new, but we're going to gain more experience,” said the Portuguese driver, who chose the TAURUS T3 Max because of the opportunity. “We tested the car a few weeks ago and we really liked its performance and, having it available for this race, we decided it would be a good bet to bring to Baja Aragon,” added Daniel Silva.

Accumulating kilometers and trying to have a clean race are Daniel Silva's first goals. “We want to get a feel for the race and set the right pace so that we can enjoy it and be competitive,” he said.

The Baja Aragon starts on July 26 and takes place over three days. There are around 522 timed kilometers, with a Prologue and two days of timed Selective Sectors.

The event is eligible for the FIA Bajas World Cup and will feature the world's best off-road drivers.
