Fernando Barreiros is gearing up for another significant international challenge, set to compete in the Baja Aragón. This event, part of the Bajas World Cup and one of the most iconic races on the global off-road calendar, will take place from July 24 to 27 on the tracks of Teruel, Spain.
Behind the wheel of an Isuzu D-Max entered in the Stock Category and navigated by José Sá Pires, Fernando Barreiros' main goal is to achieve a standout result among the competitors vying for the Bajas World Cup. This will strengthen his position in the championship and solidify his international career. Participation in the Spanish event marks another important moment in the driver's season, as he relies on consistency and experience to tackle the demanding Teruel tracks.
"Baja Aragón is a challenging and tough race. The event is known for the harshness of its trails and the high temperatures characteristic of the region, which makes this competition one of the toughest on the sports calendar. But despite the difficulties, I will do my best to achieve a good result and finish with the best possible classification in my category," stated Fernando Barreiros.
The 41st edition of Baja Aragón will run from July 24 to 27, 2025, with its hub in Teruel, where the Exhibition and Congress Palace will host the paddock. Competitively, the event kicks off on July 25 with the prologue, a short 7.21 km section held near Teruel. This prologue will be crucial in determining the starting order for the first stage, which takes place on July 26 and covers 366.08 timed kilometers. The second stage will be held on July 27 and adds another 193.37 km, totaling 566.66 km of racecourse.
