The 2025 Baja España Aragón — part of the FIM Bajas World Cup and now in its 41st edition — is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling and competitive events in recent memory. The entry list for motorcycles and quads is stacked with talent, ambition, and stories waiting to be written.

At the top of that list is Lorenzo Santolino of Salamanca — fast, consistent, and battle-hardened. A familiar face in Baja Aragón, he has come close to victory many times, but never quite clinched it. This year, aboard his Sherco, he returns as a favorite — yet the path to glory will be anything but easy.

His fiercest competition may come from within. Sherco has signed on one of the sport’s brightest rising stars: South African Bradley Cox. Fresh off winning the 2024 Rally2 World Cup and recently promoted to the RallyGP class, the 27-year-old is hungry, fearless, and ready to make a statement in his Baja debut. Sherco’s third ace? Indian rider Harith Noah — a seasoned Dakar competitor and respected figure in rally raid circles.

Kove arrives in Aragón with firepower of its own — fielding a five-bike lineup led by Neels Theric, whose Baja pedigree includes past appearances and a family legacy: his father once conquered these same tracks. Joining him is Spanish favorite Javi Vega, also making his Baja España Aragón debut and aiming high with the Chinese marque.

In one of the most buzzed-about developments of the year, Royal Enfield finally steps onto the world rally stage. Long in preparation, their debut comes with the seasoned C.S. Santosh leading the charge — a historic moment not just for the brand, but for Indian motorsport as a whole.

Spain, too, fields a deep bench of talent. Keep an eye on breakout star Alonso Trigo, blazing fast in his rookie season, and veterans like Alfredo Pellicer, Josep Pedró, Iñigo Zardoya, Martí Escofet, Marc Calmet, and Arnau Lledó — a fierce lineup ready to defend home soil.

The quad category promises fireworks, with Frenchmen Jérôme Connart, Kevin Giroud, and Antoine Sánchez headlining a packed field. Portugal’s Jorge Sampaio and Spaniards Toni Vingut, Víctor Ainoza, and Alejandro García Domper add to the mix, ensuring a showdown across borders.

Trail bikes bring their own brand of excitement. Italian riders Alessandro Ruoso, Matteo Bottino, and the indomitable Nicola Dutto — who rides with a custom system despite being paraplegic — return to inspire and compete. And then there’s Joan Pedrero, a Baja icon pushing his Harley-Davidson to the limit in the Maxitrail class. Motocross standout Julio López also debuts, taking on the challenge with an Aprilia and a reputation for spectacle.

The women’s field is as competitive as ever. Leading the charge is Spain’s own Sara García, determined and relentless. She’ll face off against fierce opponents from around the globe: Alona Ben Natan (Israel), Joanna Modrzewska (Poland), María Taranto (Ecuador), Lili-May Mansuy (France), and Beatriz Díez (Spain).

The aragon tracks waits. The dust will rise. The 2025 Baja Aragón will not just test machines and riders — it will forge legends.
