  • Thousands of horsepower and hundreds of tons of steel will thunder through the rugged tracks of Teruel.

  • The Baja España Aragón remains one of the few iconic rally raid events that still welcomes trucks to the starting line.

  • Ten powerful teams are set to battle — including some of the biggest names from Dakar.

  • Czech powerhouse Martin Macik (800) returns with co-drivers František Tomásek and David Švanda, hunting yet another victory.

  • Spain’s top contenders: Javier Mariezcurrena (802), with Ángel Iribarren and Joseba Berasategui, ready to fight for the podium.

  • A force of women behind the wheel: The Tibau Team lines up with María Helena Tarruell Tibau, Jaqueline Ricci, and Arantxa Martí in an all-female crew.

The Baja España Aragón 2025 marks 20 years since trucks first rumbled onto the scene — a milestone that began back in 2005 when Octagon Esedos took over the event's organization. Since then, these rolling fortresses have become a defining symbol of Baja’s strength, grit, and spectacle.

Now in its 41st edition, the Baja will once again echo with the roar of truck engines — some pushing close to 1,000 horsepower — and the grind of five-ton beasts carving through the Aragonese terrain. These mechanical titans won’t just race — they’ll dominate, sharing the course with cars and buggies in a showcase of pure off-road intensity.

This isn’t just another class. It’s a category of legends. Trucks in Baja are more than machines — they are theater, power, and tradition on wheels, enriching the event’s drama and thrilling thousands of spectators.

At the top of the bill is the returning champion: Martin Macik (800) and his faithful Liaz, accompanied by longtime teammates František Tomásek and David Švanda. The Czech driver is already a five-time winner in Teruel and is chasing his sixth title — a record that would further cement his legacy as one of the true kings of the desert.

Challenging him is the formidable De Groot Team from the Netherlands — truck racing royalty. Richard de Groot, flanked by Jan Hulsebosch and Martin Van Rooij, will pilot their powerful Iveco through the Spanish dust in a bid for glory.

For Spanish fans, all eyes are on Javier Mariezcurrena (802), once again partnering with Ángel Iribarren and Joseba Berasategui. A seasoned veteran and a serious contender, Javier brings both speed and experience — and perhaps Spain’s best chance for a homegrown victory.

One of the most inspiring entries this year comes from the Tibau Team, fielding an all-women crew in truck 806. Behind the wheel is María Helena Tarruell Tibau, joined by Jaqueline Ricci and Arantxa Martí. These trailblazing women are back to show the world that determination knows no gender — and power has many faces.

Rounding out the truck roster are familiar names like Jordi Esteve of Lleida, with co-drivers Francisco José Pardo and Jordi Pujol, as well as the Jacoste family, with Javier, María, and Marta Oliveras — bringing both passion and generational spirit to the race.

Massive engines. Unbreakable resolve. Dust and destiny.

The trucks of the 2025 Baja España Aragón Getac Trophy are ready to roar. And the desert… is listening.
