On Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 20, the engines will roar once again in the heart of the Bassa Friulana as the Baja dello Stella makes its highly anticipated return. Born in 2024 thanks to the passion of Motori dello Stella, this rally-raid will serve as the fourth round of the Italian Cross Country Rally & SSV Championship, with Rivignano Teor as the event headquarters. Entries open Monday, August 19.
Rivignano Teor (Udine), Tuesday, August 12, 2025 – The late summer of the Bassa Friulana will once again be brought to life by the off-road champions of Italy’s national series. On September 19–20, Rivignano Teor and its surrounding municipalities will host the second edition of the Baja dello Stella – a race that burst onto the scene in 2024, driven by the dedication of Motori dello Stella and its president, Luca Paron.
Just like last year, the organization will be joined by the Fuoristrada Club 4x4 of Pordenone, known for staging two other iconic rounds of the national series: the Italian Baja di Primavera–Artugna Race and the Italian Baja.
“We decided to bring the race back with great enthusiasm,” says Luca Paron. “The first edition ended with a very positive result, so we were determined to create the second chapter of this event. It means a lot of hard work for us at the end of summer – but we’re certain it will be worth it.”
The rally base will once again be in Rivignano Teor, with the route featuring a single 28.5 km selective section, repeated four times on Saturday for a total of nearly 120 km of timed racing. The start will be in Casenove, Varmo, before passing through Rivignano, Teor, Campomolle, and Rivarotta, with the finish set in Palazzolo dello Stella. This special stage will be named “Voldarîs”, and the service park will be located at Parco Divisione Julia in Rivignano Teor, right behind the town hall.
The Baja dello Stella offers a unique spectacle, with off-road vehicles and SSVs charging through the Bassa Friulana – a flat, river-rich region stretching across four provinces between the Livenza River and the mouth of the Timavo. Local mayors have once again embraced the event, seeing it as a way to showcase their towns far beyond the borders of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
