The tenth edition of the Baja Lorca - Ciudad del Sol ended after an intense weekend in which the participants faced a track full of which mud and water, under heavy rain and a constant bad weather that marked this edition of the Spanish race.

The final victory in the cars went to Oscar Fuertes and Diego Vallejo with their Astara Concept 01. In second position finished Jesús Fuster and the local Carlos Fernández, andcompleting the final TT podium the Rodríguez Gamboa brothers, Roberto and Hernán.

Among the SSV new triumph for Miquel Prat and Mario Gonzalez at the controls of his Yamaha. Second were Ricardo Sánchez and Sara García, closing the podium Perfecto de Arriba and Antonio Angulo.

The Spanish All-Terrain Regularity Rally Cup had Dirk Frans and Chris Goris as winners with their Toyota Land Cruiser. Lorenzo and Lisabel Jane Fluxá were second with their Mitsubishi Montero and Elías del Val and Raúl Martínez third.

In the different trophies the British David Beecroft and Fraser Parish were the best in Open; the locals Rubén Rodríguez and María Tania Soler won in T8; in T3 the victory was for Fuster-Fernández; in T4 for Mogni-Aguado; and in T2 for Dorsch-Martínez. In T1N Mónica and Marta Plaza took their second victory of the year, while in T1 the winners of the Baja, Fuertes-Vallejo, won.

The race ended with a spectacular trophy ceremony in which the best received a well-deserved recognition.

The ceremony was attended by Mrs. Irene Jódar, Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca; Mr. José Ángel Ponce, Deputy Mayor of the City of Lorca; Mr. Juan Esteve, representative of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation; and Mr. Sebastián Plazas, President of the Automobile Federation of the Region of Murcia.

And so much for this tenth edition, one more in which the Automobile Club of Lorca has once again given its all to ensure that this event continues to be a benchmark within the competition. The club, with its president Pedro Zamora at the head, wants to thank once again their unconditional work to all the volunteers who collaborate with the event, to all the teams for trusting us, to all the fans who once again have not disappointed and of course to the institutions and sponsors, because without them this would not be possible.
