Three years after his debut on the top step of the podium in the Quads, Luís Fernandes (Yamaha) repeated the feat. “There are no words... I work hard for this. I want to dedicate this victory to my family, especially my uncle and grandfather, who are going through a lot of difficulties. It was a very tough race... I lost my seat towards the end and suffered a bit. It's Portalegre!”
The winner of the last two editions, João Vale (CAN-AM), took second place, saying: “Of course I always want to win, anything less is defeat... However, I recovered quite a few places and managed to pass almost all the direct competitors. I finished second and, in terms of the championship, I remain in the same position. We're going into the last race to become champions.”
Rodrigo Alves (Yamaha) took the final podium place, but confided: “We did everything possible to win, but the bike sometimes didn't work well in the water. Next time it will be better.”
Tiago Gomes (KTM) and Fábio Ferreira (ATVRacing) rounded off the front quintet.
