Entries for the Baja Portalegre 2024 have been open since August 1st, but the deadline for riders to register at reduced prices is September 9th. From that date onwards, registration costs will increase and will close definitively on September 25.

Not many details are yet known about the 2024 edition, but the ACP - Automovel Club de Portugal, which is the organizer of the event, is expected to publish the rally guide very soon, where the main details of the event will be published.

However, the organizer has been revealing some information for some time now, which, although not yet definitive, already gives a little insight into what will happen. The race program will remain almost unchanged compared to recent editions. The grandstand will open on Wednesday, October 16 to start welcoming the teams. Thursday 17th is reserved for technical and administrative checks, reconnaissance of the prologue, and the symbolic start, which will once again take place in Portalegre city center.
On Friday 17th, the action really gets underway, with the traditional prologue taking place first thing in the morning at Herdade das Coutadas, just 5 kilometers long, followed by SS1, which is scheduled to be around 70 kilometers long, but where it will start is unknown for the time being. Saturday will once again be the race's “big day”, with the AUTO competitors (FIA + FPAK) facing two sectors - SS2 with 160 kilometers planned and SS3 with 150. The FMP participants (motorcycles, quads, and non-FIA SSVs) will have to compete in a single 300-kilometer sector. Other categories will have different mileages, but these are the main ones.

The Portuguese race is part of the FIA Cross Country Bajas World Cup and the Nationals Championships of FPAK (cars) and FMP (bikes). The race is also valid for the Yamaha Europe SSV Cup “YXZ 1000R CUP” is back in Portalegre for their “SuperFinal”, as usual.
