The Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura kicked off today with a brief 6 km prologue. Andrew Houlihan finished 8th in the FIM World Cup and 2nd in the Veteran classification. The short warm-up marked the Australian rider's first experience with his new bike, and the initial impressions are positive.

“We've just finished our prologue crossed into Portugal. As you can see behind, it's pretty spectacular. Never been to Portugal before. But yeah, we've just started our first prologue along the river bank in Badajoz. And then 40 or 50 kilometer liaison here to Portugal for the opening ceremony. The prologue went pretty well, I think, I’m not too sure how I finished up, but I stayed on the bike and actually had a fair bit of fun. The bike was great. First time I rode it today. So it was pretty good to get used to the bike and look forward to tomorrow's first stage,”
Andrew Houlihan said after the prologue.
