After a rather tough Saturday, Sunday’s stage went smoother for Andrew Houlihan. THe Australian rider eventually finished in the FIM bikes classification and 2nd among Veterans.

“Well, the rally’s over now, the Baja Rally, I mean. Day 3 is done and finished.
I struggled a bit yesterday, I was really sore and tired last night, I cramped really bad all day. The tracks were destroyed from the trucks and the buggies in the morning. So I really had a tough time yesterday. Up early this morning and the stages today were really open and fast. So I think a few times I looked down, I was doing over 150 on the stages, so it was quite good. No real issues today. I'm not sure where I finished, but I still think of retaining the lead in the World Cup in the Veterans and hopefully jumped up a few spots in the 450 championship class. I can't thank Nomadas Adventure and Coca-Cola Racing Team. These guys have been supporting me since I started at Hellas Rally five years ago. I've done a couple of Dakars with them, and the Africa Eco Race and hopefully they'll be around for the rest of the year, at the rest of the Bajas in Europe. But yeah, their support is great, great mechanical service, got the truck, got to thank Aurra Rally for the bike. It's in the park ferme now, but the bike was amazing. He had probably saved him about a few times the way it was set up. And everyone else has helped me Speed Cafe, TwinPegs. No sore knees. I've got two titanium knees and the TwinPegs have really helped me out. Channing's Bottle Yard, everyone else who helped me get to this round in Spain at Badajoz, so I look forward to the next round in Aragon very shortly in eight weeks,”
Houlihan said after the finish.
