The Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura, to be held from May 2 to 4 in Badajoz, will return the region to the elite of national and international motorsport.

Between May 2 and 4, Badajoz will host the eighth edition of the Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura, motor sport event, framed within the calendars of the FIM World Championship, in motorcycles and FIA European Championship, cars, which will return to turn Extremadura, less than a month after hosting the World Championship, with the BP Ultimate Rallye Raid Raid, in the epicenter of national and international Cross Country.

The two great novelties of this edition will be the dispute of a special stage in the neighboring town of Elvas, with a route around 100 kilometers in Portuguese and Spanish territory and the collaboration with the Spanish Army, through its General Menacho Base, where one of the special stages of day 3 will be disputed, within the framework of its maneuvers field, which has been ceded for the occasion.

The event will start on Thursday 2nd with the shakedown, the press conference of the drivers and the starting ceremony at the Paseo Fluvial de Badajoz, from 9 pm.

On Friday, the competition will begin with the dispute of the prologue stage, in the vicinity of the Guadiana River as it passes through Badajoz, from 8:30 am. Afterwards, the participants will head to Elvas to compete in the first special stage, which will take them back to the Bótoa Base, where the second stage will take place.

Saturday, May 4th will host the longest and most complicated stages of the race, with two special stages for the cars between Alconchel and Zahínos, the first one, and Alconchel and Oliva de la Frontera, the second one, and for the motorcycles between Albuera and Barcarrota, ending in Badajoz, with the trophy ceremony that will take place at the podium placed at the Fluvial promenade.

This eighth edition of the Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura will run, in addition to the aforementioned towns of Badajoz and Elvas, through the municipalities of Alconchel, Zahínos, Valencia del Monbuey, Oliva de la Frontera, Higuera de Vargas, Villanueva del Fresno, Cheles, Barcarrota, La Albuera, Entrín Alto, Corte de Peleas, Torre de Miguel Sesmero, Retamal, Cortegana, Solana, Santa Marta and Nogales, to whom the organization thanks for their collaboration with the event.

The race will count towards the championships of the FIM Lowland World Cup, FIA European Lowland Cup, Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship, Spanish Motorcycle Raid Rally Championship and the Gran Lago de Alqueva Trophy.
