Baja TT Montes Alentejanos 2026: João Ferreira in a Toyota T1+ with a commanding win at the ESC Online | Baja Montes Alentejanos 2026
Ricardo Porém in a Kaizen and João Monteiro in a Can-Am win in T3 and T4
João Ferreira was the overall winner of the ESC Online Baja Montes Alentejanos 2026, the event that opened the Portuguese Cross-Country Rally Championship, run under the auspices of FPAK. Driving a Toyota T1+ and co-driven by Filipe Palmeiro, the Leiria-born driver clocked 4h52m32s to complete the three runs on the 120-kilometre course set by CPKA for the three days of competition.
Behind João Ferreira came Ricardo Porém and Nuno Sousa in a Kaizen. The pair took victory in T3, finishing the rally 8m21s down on João Ferreira.
Just 1m01s behind Ricardo Porém, João Monteiro and Nuno Morais in a Can-Am completed the overall podium at this ESC Online Baja Montes Alentejanos, while also securing the win in T4.
The next positions after today’s SS2 and SS3 were taken by Luís Cidade/Válter Cardoso in a Can-Am and Tiago Reis, co-driven by Paulo Fiúza, in an MMP—pairs who claimed second place in the T4 and T3 class podiums, respectively. João Dias, in a Polaris with co-driver Rui Pita, and Mário Franco/João Miranda, in a Can-Am, completed the remaining podium places in T4 and T3, respectively. The other Top 10 overall positions were filled by Miguel Barbosa/Joel Lutas in a Polaris T4, Daniel Silva/Gonçalo Magalhães in an MMP T3, and Edgar Reis/Fábio Ribeiro, also in an MMP T3.
José Rogeira/Paulo Marques won the T1 category ahead of Lino Carapeta and Fábio Carapeta, both in Ford Rangers. Completing the list of winners at the ESC Online Baja TT Montes Alentejanos were Marco Cardoso/André Barras in a Nissan (T8), Américo Santos with Jorge Monteiro in a Nissan (T2), and Leonor Barreto in an Isuzu, who claimed the ladies’ trophy.
