The Organising Committee of the Esc Online Baja Montes Alentejanos informs that, due to the heavy rainfall over the past few days, it has been necessary to alter the route initially planned. This decision was taken to ensure that the course does not pass through gullies and streams that currently have abnormally high water levels, as well as many of the usual tracks that are extremely muddy.

Accordingly, over the last few days the CPKA field team, with its in-depth knowledge of the terrain, has been continuously analysing and selecting the best available routes, so that the Esc Online Baja Montes Alentejanos can, as always, offer a fast course and guarantee the good conditions required for a traditional off-road competition in the Beja region, even if it rains on the days of the event. However, this scenario is not expected, given the forecast of a substantial improvement in weather conditions from 13 February onwards.

Given the adverse conditions present this year, the Esc Online Baja Montes Alentejanos will feature a total distance of 330 km, on a 110 km course to be completed three times.

The traditional prologue will take place on Friday, 27 February. On Saturday, 28 February, two selective sections will be contested, and on Sunday, 1 March, the third selective section will be held.
