Baja TT Sharish 2024: Reguengos de Monsaraz will once again host the FIA and FIM international caravans
Earlier this month, SAR-Motorismo published the Rally Guide for the 36th edition of the Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos Mourão, which is once again on the international calendar. The event, which will be held in the Alentejo region of Portugal, will be valid for the FIA EUROPEAN BAJA CUP 2024, the AM48 Portuguese TT Championship and the Terras do Grande Lago Alqueva Trophy for cars, as well as the FIM European TT Championship, the National Off-Road Championship for Motorcycles, Quads and SSVs and the YAMAHA YXZ1000R Cup.
Maintaining its base in Reguengos de Monsaraz, the race will also have an important part played out in the municipality of Mourão, covering a series of famous tracks that are generally liked by the majority of riders who consider this to be one of the best races in Portugal.
The Portuguese event will be held from September 19 to 22. As usual, the first day will be reserved for the formalities that precede any race. On Friday the 20th, the prologue will be held, with a planned length of 10 km. The bikes will be the first on the track, with the first competitor scheduled to start at 10:25, followed at 13:25 by the first car. On Saturday the 21st, the race "begins in earnest", with the first major sector of the race. The cars will tackle 190km of special stages, with the first competitor setting off for SS2 Mourão at 13:20. The motorcycles will have an identical program, but will start much earlier, at 7.30am. The finish line will be located near Reguengos de Monsaraz.
On Sunday, the motorcycles will once again be the first on the track to tackle the 160-kilometer SS3, again from Mourão to Reguengos de Monsaraz, repeating the route until they reach the finish line. As for the cars, they will repeat the entire route from the previous day, with SS3 Auto being 190 kms long.
