The 38th Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos/Mourão is preparing to welcome the international cross-country rally community to Portugal from 17 to 20 September 2026, with the Alentejo event once again forming part of the FIA European Baja Cup and the FIM Europe European Baja Championship.
Organised by the Motorsport Section of Sociedade Artística Reguenguense, the event will once again be based in Reguengos de Monsaraz, with competition also extending into the surrounding region and Mourão. Rally headquarters and the Service Park will be located around the Parque de Feiras e Exposições in Reguengos de Monsaraz.
This year’s event will take place in an unusual international calendar situation. The Baja España Aragón, Spain’s most important cross-country rally, was postponed from its original date due to the high risk of wildfires and has now been rescheduled for 11 to 13 September, immediately before the Portuguese event.
To make the transition easier for international teams competing in both events, the Baja TT Sharish Gin organisation has decided to open the Service Park from Monday, 14 September. The measure will allow teams to travel directly from Teruel to Reguengos de Monsaraz after the Spanish Baja and have sufficient time and space to install their service structures before the Portuguese event gets underway.
The change brings Service Park access forward by two days compared with the schedule originally published in the Rally Guide, which indicated Wednesday, 16 September, as the first day available for setup. The Reguengos Service Park includes lighting, toilets, showers, bar facilities, a medical post and a refuelling area.
Sporting activity begins on Thursday, 17 September, with administrative checks, scrutineering and shakedown. The Prologue follows on Friday, before the main stages take competitors through the weekend and the event concludes on Sunday, 20 September.
The earlier opening of the Service Park therefore turns what could have been a difficult logistical turnaround into a more manageable transition between two consecutive international Bajas on the Iberian Peninsula.
