The bp Ultimate Adventure Team had a strong start at the Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos de Monsaraz/Mourão 2025, with Gonçalo Guerreiro making his mark among the top international drivers in this Alentejo classic, organized by the Motor Sport Section of the Sociedade Artística Reguenguense.
The young driver, who currently leads both the Absolute Championship and the T4 Category, clocked the 3rd fastest overall time, finishing as the quickest SSV and even placing ahead of none other than 2025 Dakar winner Yazeed Al Rajhi. Meanwhile, David Megre begins the event determined to reclaim his European title.
“It went really well. I took some risks, thinking I might lose more time to the T1+ cars. But to my own surprise, I managed a very strong time. This race has extremely fast tracks, less favorable to my Polaris, so I gave it everything to stay close to the leaders. It was worth being aggressive without going over the limit. Now the goal is to pick a good starting position for tomorrow and keep up the pace,” said Gonçalo Guerreiro at the end of the prologue.
Guerreiro competes in a Polaris RZR PRO R, co-driven by Joel Lutas.
Later in the day, David Megre will take on his prologue aboard a KTM, with his eyes set on the FIM European Baja Championship.
For the competitors of the 37th Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos/Mourão 2025, tomorrow brings a double run through a 116 km selective sector for cars, while bikes will tackle a 90 km stage, also run twice.
