Gonçalo Guerreiro leads the SSV category and secures a spot in the overall Top 10

The bp Ultimate Adventure Team is once again turning heads at the 41st edition of Baja Aragón, with young talent Gonçalo Guerreiro delivering a standout performance. Racing through the rugged trails of Teruel, Spain, Guerreiro is currently leading the SSV category and holding strong in the overall Top 10—competing neck-and-neck with some of the sport’s top names.

Behind the wheel of a Polaris and expertly guided by co-driver Joel Lutas, the bp Ultimate Adventure Team driver is determined to repeat his 2024 victory at this prestigious event, which counts toward both the FIA World and European Bajas Cups.

"I'm really happy with today’s result, but it wasn’t easy," said Gonçalo Guerreiro at the end of Stage 1. "The first section was especially tough—I got stuck behind the car that started just ahead of us and couldn’t find a clean opportunity to pass. The dust was so thick, it was nearly impossible to activate the Sentinel system so they’d have to let us by. That made the first stretch tricky, but the second part went much more smoothly once we got some clean air. Honestly, I’m proud. We put a lot of effort into preparing for this race, and now we’re seeing the payoff."

The 41st Baja Aragón wraps up tomorrow as the drivers tackle once again the same 132-kilometer timed stage they raced earlier today.
