bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal 2026: Bruno Santos with a strong commitment to Rally Raid Portugal
Following an outstanding performance at the Dakar Rally and a remarkable victory at the Baja TT Montes Alentejanos, Bruno Santos is now preparing to take on a new challenge in the 2026 season: the Rally Raid Portugal, a competition that will take place from March 17 to 22 across routes in Portugal and Spain.
The rider from Torres Vedras, who won the Rally 2 category and took the overall motorcycle podium in the first edition of this Portuguese round of the W2RC, will compete in the event organized by the Automobile Club of Portugal on a Husqvarna, representing the colors of his partners and, in particular, the support of Frutas Patrícia Pilar for Rally Raid Portugal, one of the most demanding events on the national off-road calendar.
The event will traverse several regions of the country and features the world’s best riders in the discipline on its entry list, promising five absolutely challenging stages. With his confidence bolstered by his result in the 2026 Dakar Rally, Bruno Santos approaches this event with great ambition.
“The Rally Raid Portugal, the second round of the World Championship, is an important race for me. It’s an event where I have a chance to compete on equal footing with all the champions, so I’m very excited to once again show here what I’m capable of. It’s a race where we have a lot of support from the public, who have the opportunity to see us, visit us, and cheer us on along the tracks. I’m going to try my best and fight for the overall podium in the race, and I hope to get off to a good start right from the prologue. I hope it will be a good race,” says Bruno Santos, a driver who is also supported by Momento TT.
The bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal, organized under the auspices of the ACP - Automóvel Club de Portugal, will be the second competition of this season’s World Rally Raid Championship, following the 2026 Dakar Rally. The event will begin on March 17 and will be based in the town of Grândola, in the district of Setúbal. Over five days, the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal will traverse tracks in Portugal and Spain, covering approximately 1,300 km of timed stages. Five stages will be contested, preceded by a prologue, in a competition that starts in Grândola, passes through Badajoz, and ends in Loulé, in the Algarve.
