DAKLAPACK RALLYSPORT MOVES TO PORTUGAL

European rally-raid racing outfit DaklaPack Rallysport is relocating its operations to Portugal, where it has also been appointed as an official distributor for Red-Lined Motorsport within the region. The move comes as the former Dutch-based rally team steps up to deliver a more complete and professional rally raid service.
“After ten years in Holland, we are moving to Portugal,” DaklaPack Rallysport founder Dave Klaassen confirmed. “Like South Africa, the Portuguese rally-raid championship is very well supported, with a strong field of participants, good-quality vehicles, and many race events during the year. We have far fewer competitors and events in Western Europe which makes it difficult for us to compete and activate at the level that we would like to."
“We are also delighted to confirm that DaklaPack Rallysport has been appointed as an official distributor of Red-Lined race cars and parts for both Portugal and Spain. We will now be selling, maintaining, supporting and managing customers from our new Portuguese base,” Klaassen pointed out. DaklaPack Rallysport will be supporting the full range of Red-Lined FIA T1 class VK50, VK56 and REVO race cars, as well as the newly launched FIA T1+ REVO.
“Our services will cover everything from new and used Red-Lined vehicle sales to our parts supply service, race car preparation, maintenance, and performance upgrades. We will also be offering race car and equipment storage services for our customers. Our various levels of support will depend on customer needs, varying from ‘Arrive and Drive’ packages to rental services and technical support packages.”
DaklaPack Rallysport has access to a test track just 20 minutes from the team’s new Portuguese headquarters, which is ideal for testing and training, race car set-ups, or even customer entertainment days. DaklaPack’s rally-raid training program will cover everything from the basics at its new home all the way up to the exclusive Red-Lined dune training schools in Namibia.
DaklaPack duo Dave Klaassen and Tessa Rooth realized a dream by finishing the Dakar at their first attempt aboard their Red-Lined VK56 in 2023. They are currently racing a new Red-Lined REVO T1+ in the South African rally-raid championship.
“While we have the experience, the knowledge, and the know-how, we now also have the full support of the official manufacturer, Red-Lined Motorsport in South Africa,” Dave Klaassen concluded. “Moving to Portugal now completes our transformation to see DaklaPack Rallysport deliver the full Red-Lined Motorsport Adventure experience”.
