Hellas Rally Raid 2024: Day 2 - New challenges in demanding terrain

The second day of the Hellas Rally 2024 brought new challenges and heightened excitement as participants tackled some of the most demanding terrains yet. The race started at 10:00 AM from the bivouac of Itea, with the first rider reaching the Special Stage by 10:30 AM and the first vehicle in the SSV category starting at 12:31 PM.

Day 2 featured intricate navigational segments that tested the participants' precision and strategic planning. Participants were treated to stunning views of Greece's landscapes over a challenging route of around 250 kilometres, which included majestic passes through the mountains of Parnassos, Iti, and Gkiona, with one refueling station along the way. The race showcased fierce competition and remarkable performances across all categories.

The M3 category witnessed an intense battle between Toni Mulec and Tobias Ebster throughout the entire course, with both riders delivering incredible performances once again but it was Tobias who achieved the best time of the day in 3h51:22.07.

In the M1 category, Turkish rider Eristi Ejder Tekin had the best performance with a time of 4h29:16.68. He was closely followed by last year’s category winner, Ennsmann Roland, who finished just 20 seconds behind.

Eduardo Iglesias Sanchez dominated the M2 category, clocking the best performance with a time of 4h23:11.83.

The M4 category witnessed Joly Stephane securing the best time with a finish of 4h15:10.27, while Andrea Rocchi and Matyas Cervenka achieved the second and third best times, respectively.

Italian rider Puocci Francesko excelled in the M5 category, finishing with a time of 4h35:59.05.

In the M6 category, Jacopo Cerutti from the Aprilia Racing Team delivered an outstanding performance, finishing in 4h03:39.72.

The Quads category saw Martinez Gaetan once again achieving the best time for the second consecutive day, with a time of 4h12:38.32.

In the SSV category, the duo Rouviere-Delfino D. had the best time of the category with a finish of 3h57:01.23, with the team of Hugues-Delfino following closely with a 1-minute gap.

As the Hellas Rally 2024 progresses, participants will continue to face rigorous challenges, testing their endurance and skill across Greece’s diverse terrains.
