Hungarian Baja 2024: bp Ultimate Adventure Team at Hungarian Baja
Martim Ventura and David Megre compete in the fourth round of the Baja World Cup
The bp Ultimate Adventure Team will take part in the Baja Hungary, which takes place between August 8 and 10, with Martim Ventura and David Megre representing the team's colors in what is the fourth round of the Bajas World Cup. The riders will be taking part in this competition with the aim of continuing their good performances in international competitions, as they did recently at the Baja Aragón, where David Megre came 4th in the Bajas World Cup, while Martim Ventura came 2nd in the Juniors and 5th in the overall standings on his debut at Europe's oldest baja.
For Martim Ventura, who rides a Husqvarna, taking part in Baja Hungary is another positive step towards solidifying his international career: "Baja Hungary is a totally new event for me and I believe it will be another good contribution to my experience abroad. I'm very happy to be able to accompany David Megre, my colleague from the bp Ultimate Adventure Team, on these adventures and to share them with him. I'm also joining the Old Friends Rally Team and I'm very happy about this participation. My expectations are high because I know I'm going to have strong opponents, so I'm going to take it easy because I have no idea what the route will be like. The Baja Aragón was the first World Cup race I took part in and I want to have another good experience," said the young bp Ultimate Adventure Team rider.
David Megre, on the other hand, is looking forward to taking part in another round of the Baja World Cup on a Kawasaki: "I'm very pleased to be able to compete in another round of the World Cup and once again my focus is on achieving a good result that will allow me to win important points so that I can continue to fight for a top position in the World Cup standings," said the rider.
The Hungarian Baja will take place from August 8 to 10 and for the 21st time will be held in the town of Várpalota with Thury Castle as the backdrop. In terms of sport, the event will start on Friday, August 9, with a prologue consisting of 6km of timed runs. On the same day, competitors will complete two 122 km selective sectors. On Saturday, the final selective sector of 160 km will be run. A total of 410 timed kilometers will be covered.
