Nuno Matos Set for Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos/Mourão 2025
The adventure continues. Nuno Matos and co-driver Ricardo Claro are back on track at the Baja TT Sharish Gin Reguengos/Mourão 2025, ready for three intense days of action in the Portuguese Cross-Country Championship (CPTT).
During the summer break, the Alentejo-based team carried out major upgrades to their Amarok Proto, and this rally will be the first real test of those changes.
“It’s fantastic to return to Reguengos, a race we’ve won before and where we feel at home. But I admit we thought long and hard about this entry. The modifications were essential, but they were completed very close to the rally. It’s a risk we’re taking, and this Baja will be the real test,” Matos explained, while thanking the organizers, Sociedade Artística Reguenguense (SAR), for their support.
Beyond the Portuguese championship, the event also counts toward the FIA European Bajas Cup, attracting some of the world’s top off-road competitors. The race kicks off Friday, September 12, with a 5.7 km prologue in Mourão, followed by two demanding stages: Saturday features two runs over 116 km between Granja and Alandroal, while Sunday closes with two passes over 89 km between Casas Novas de Mares and Reguengos.
