74 crews are on the entry lists for the 43rd Polish Safari Rally. The competition will take place on the last weekend of July on special sections located near Przasnysz. At the start we will see, among others, the leading crews competing in this year's European Cross-Country Rally Championship (CEZ).

The 43rd Polish Safari Rally is this season's fourth round of competition in the European CEZ series. After rallies held in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, this time it's time for the Polish classic, which returned to the off-road rally calendar in 2017. Since then its base has invariably been Przasnysz.

Among others, Krzysztof Holowczyc and Lukasz Kurzeja will fight for more points for the classification of the European Cross-Country Zone Rally Championship (CEZ). The Polish veterans will drive a BMW X3 car and in Przasnysz will face the chance to move up in the general classification of the T1 class, in which they are third before the 43rd Polish Safari Rally.

Their fiercest rivals will be Michal and Julita Maluszynski in the Mini John Cooper Works Rally car. This crew is in second place in the CEZ European Zone Championship's overall points standings after three rallies, with a lead of 22 points over Holowczyc. The leaders of the T1 classification, Czech Moroslav Zapletal and Slovakian Marek Sykora, will be missing in Przasnysz. In all likelihood, after the Przasnysz round of the series, we will note a change at the top of the scoring of the European Central Zone Off-Road Championship (CEZ).

A total of 42 teams have appeared on the joint entry list for the CEZ, the Polish Off-Road Championship and the Czech Off-Road Championship. This is as many as 10 more than last season.

Also competing on the special sections of the 43rd Polish Safari Rally will be crews fighting for points in the Polish Baja Rally Championship and Cup (20 entries), the Polish Off-Road Rally Cup (3 entries) and the Baja SSV Rookie, Baja Promo and Baja Promo Adventure Cup series (9 entries).

This year's rally schedule includes seven spectacular special stages. It will all begin with a start ceremony in the heart of Przasnysz, at the Town Square, on Saturday, July 27, at 5:00 p.m. Moments later, the competitors will set off on a prologue route of more than 13 km in the Przasnysz municipality.

Sunday's competition will begin with the morning Inter Bor section, followed by the Chorzele and Jednorożec sections. They will complete each of these tests twice, and the total length of the entire rally route is over 200 km.
