Before the World Championship race, the driver will compete in the 31st Raide de Góis for the CNTT.

António Maio, National Cross-Country Champion, has already confirmed his participation in the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal, a competition taking place between April 2 and 7 in Portugal. The event, which will be attended by the world's elite off-road drivers, will start and finish in Grândola and will cover a total of 1008 timed kilometers spread over five stages and a prologue.

The GNR (Portuguese National Guard) major is very motivated for this race, part of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) calendar, and despite the strong competition, he believes he can achieve a good result.

"From April 2 to 7 I'll be taking part in the Rally Raid event organized by the Automóvel Clube de Portugal. I'm delighted that this event will be held in Portugal and I'm sure it will be a huge success. We'll have some of the best off-road drivers in the world today and the competition is going to be top-notch. I'm in good shape and that's why I'm sure I'll have a very positive race. The fact that the race will be held in Portugal could be an added value for me, so I'm confident of a good result," said António Maio.

The Yamaha rider will also have an important participation in the Raid de Góis, which takes place on March 29 and 30, where he will fight for the first places in the race in order to add important points that will allow him to renew the title of national champion for the fifth consecutive year: "This weekend I will be participating in the Raide Góis, where I intend to make a good showing with a view to achieving a good result for the National Cross-Country Championship," said the national champion.

The 31st Raide "Paraíso do Todo-o-Terreno", which will take place on March 29 and 30, is a competition organized by the Góis Moto Clube and will be held on tracks in the municipalities of Góis, Pampilhosa da Serra and Arganil. On the first day of the race, riders will face a 2.5 km prologue followed by a selective sector (SS1) of around 250 km. The race ends on Saturday with the 75 km timed SS2.
