Luis Recuenco claimed victory at the 11th Rally TT de Cuenca, while Santiago Carnicer secured the 2025 Spanish Cross-Country Rally Championship.

The final round of the national series once again showcased the beauty and toughness of Cuenca’s landscapes — a route packed with rocky climbs, fast gravel roads, and demanding technical sections. Spectators lined almost every kilometer, adding passion and color to one of Spain’s most iconic off-road events.

Behind the wheel of a Toyota Hilux Overdrive, Luis Recuenco and David Oliveras dominated the rally, completing the 400 km through the Serranía de Cuenca in 5h 54m 44s.

Second place went to Federico Mogni and David Nieto in a Polaris RZR Pro, finishing 10 minutes and 22 seconds behind the leaders. Juan Gasso and Ion del Cid, driving a G-Rally Team OT3, rounded out the podium 16 minutes and 58 seconds adrift.

Santiago Carnicer and Miguel Lázaro took fourth in another Toyota Hilux Overdrive, while Carlos Vento and Pedro López finished fifth in a Polaris RZR Pro.

After crossing the finish line, Recuenco praised the event: “It was a really beautiful rally, perfectly marked, with great variety and plenty of rhythm changes,” said Recuenco. “The terrain was very dry, so we were sliding almost all the time with little traction or grip — we had to work hard and stay focused.”

Most competitors agreed that the Cuenca rally was pure off-road joy — a mix of dust, sunlight, and technical driving that truly tested skill and endurance. The forest sections were particularly demanding, with rocky trails and steep climbs, while the fast stretches rewarded precision and bravery.

But one sentiment was shared by all: “The Cuenca fans are amazing — some of the best anywhere. Every stage was packed with people cheering us on.”

Finally, Santiago Carnicer’s fourth place sealed the deal — crowning him 2025 Spanish Cross-Country Rally Champion, as the Rally TT de Cuenca brought the national season to a spectacular close.
