  • The top Dakar riders will line up in Cuenca.
  • Josep Pedró, Javier Vega and Urko Garmendia will put on a show in Cuenca.
  • Riders will cover more than 300 kilometers through some of the most stunning landscapes of Castilla-La Mancha.
  • Fans will be able to see the riders at the Podium Start Ceremony.

In just ten days, the Baja TT Cuenca will turn Castilla-La Mancha into the epicenter of European rally raid. The event, counting towards both the European Baja Championship and the Spanish Rally Raid Championship, promises high excitement from the very first kilometer. The entry list already reflects this, as motorcycle registrations are coming in at a strong pace.

For motorcycle competitors, Cuenca will be the opening round of the European Baja Championship and the second round of the Spanish Rally Raid Championship.

Top riders from the two-wheel category will head to the city, including one of the first to confirm his presence, Dakar rider Josep Pedró, who arrives on his KTM to defend his title.

Josep Pedró is the reigning Spanish Rally Raid Champion, a title he secured last year at the XI Rallye TT Cuenca after a fiercely contested race in which he battled for the championship with Javier Vega. The Catalan rider, based in Madrid and with three Dakar participations to his name, knows the Cuenca terrain well and is expected to once again deliver a masterclass in navigation and riding.

Meanwhile, fellow Dakar rider Javier Vega will start in Cuenca aboard his Kove 450 Rally. The Madrid rider, with more than seven Dakars on his résumé, will be aiming for victory to make up for losing the national title last year due to a tyre issue.

Basque rider Urko Garmendia, riding a Husqvarna FE, who could have won the Raid TT Cuenca last year but dropped to third place due to a penalty, will also be on the starting line.

Fans will also be able to enjoy the performance of Bruno Bozzo, the young Chilean rider based in Valencia. Bozzo combines university studies with competing in Rally Cross Country, Enduro and Motocross. In his young career, he has already been Chilean Motocross Champion, Enduro Six Days World Champion, and Spanish Enduro Champion in 2024, among other titles.

Also on the starting line will be Miguel Caravaca on a KTM, Madrid’s José María Clemente on a Triumph, and Canary Islands rider Iván Concepción, who is also a ship captain, a profession that has taken him across the world’s seas.

Dakar rider Cristian España, Basque rider Ion Ander Guereta and Lleida’s Ángel Bellmunt, all on KTM machinery, will also be contenders for the title in Cuenca.

More than 300 kilometers of pure adrenaline

The battle will begin on Friday, May 8, with a 10-kilometer prologue that will determine the starting order. The real challenge will come over the weekend, with more than 300 kilometers of timed sections across Saturday and Sunday, crossing some of the most spectacular landscapes in Castilla-La Mancha.
