The countdown has officially begun for Rallye Breslau 2026, one of the most iconic and demanding off-road competitions in Europe, set to take place from June 28 to July 3, 2026 across the spectacular landscapes of Poland.
For more than thirty years, Rallye Breslau has built a reputation as one of the purest expressions of rally-raid competition: a unique mix of speed, endurance, navigation, adventure and team spirit. Every summer, hundreds of competitors, mechanics, teams and supporters from all over the world gather in Poland to face thousands of kilometers of forests, military terrain, deep sand, fast tracks and technical navigation sectors.
The 2026 edition marks the beginning of a new era for the rally, introducing a renewed structure and an even more dynamic route concept. The event will start in Drawsko Pomorskie — one of Europe’s largest military training grounds — before moving south toward Żagań and the famous “Polish Sahara,” creating a rally experience that combines completely different terrains and driving styles in a single week of competition.
A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS IN DRAWSKO
The 2026 rally opens in Drawsko Pomorskie, a legendary area offering one of the most diverse off-road environments in Europe. Endless forest roads, deep sand sectors, open tracks, mud passages and technical navigation areas create the perfect setting for the opening phase of the event.
The massive bivouac in Drawsko will once again become the heart of Rallye Breslau — a true international rally village where professional factory teams, private competitors and off-road enthusiasts live together throughout the week, sharing the same passion for rally-raid adventure.
The opening days are designed to immediately immerse competitors into the Breslau atmosphere: intense racing, strategic navigation, long service nights and the constant challenge of adapting to unpredictable terrain.
SHAKEDOWN – THE FIRST CONTACT WITH BRESLAU
Before the official start of the rally, competitors will participate in the optional but highly anticipated Shakedown Session.
More than a simple test, the shakedown is the first true encounter between crews and the demanding Polish terrain. Teams use this session to fine-tune suspension setups, test navigation systems, verify communications and prepare vehicles for the days ahead under real racing conditions.
For many competitors, the shakedown is also the moment when the pressure and excitement truly begin. Engines roar for the first time, teams finalize preparations and the atmosphere inside the bivouac transforms from preparation mode into full rally spirit.
THE PROLOGUE – WHERE THE RACE BEGINS
Following administrative checks and scrutineering, Rallye Breslau officially begins with the traditional Prologue Stage.
The prologue immediately introduces competitors to the event’s DNA: high-speed sections combined with technical navigation and changing surfaces. Even though relatively short compared to the marathon stages ahead, the prologue often becomes the first decisive moment of the week, where every second can influence race strategy.
The stage also represents one of the first major spectator highlights, offering fans a close-up view of the incredible diversity of vehicles competing in the rally.
NIGHT STAGE – THE ICONIC BRESLAU EXPERIENCE
Among the most spectacular and unforgettable moments of Rallye Breslau is the legendary Night Stage in Drawsko.
As darkness falls over the forests and military terrain, competitors face one of the rally’s most demanding challenges: racing at high speed with limited visibility while navigating through complex off-road routes illuminated only by headlights and navigation equipment.
The Night Stage is famous for its dramatic atmosphere. Dust clouds hanging in the forest, powerful LED light bars cutting through the darkness and the constant pressure of navigation make this stage a true test of concentration, teamwork and endurance.
For drivers and navigators alike, the Night Stage is often described as one of the most emotional experiences in rally raid competition — a stage where instinct, rhythm and trust inside the cockpit become absolutely essential.
THE HANNIBAL STAGE – THE MARATHON OF ENDURANCE
One of the defining features of Rallye Breslau 2026 is once again the famous Hannibal Stage.
This marathon section connects Drawsko Pomorskie with Żagań in a long-distance rally adventure that pushes competitors, vehicles and teams to their limits. The Hannibal Stage is not simply about speed: it is a complete endurance challenge where navigation accuracy, mechanical reliability, fuel management and strategic decision-making become decisive factors.
The transition between the northern forests and the southern sandy areas creates constantly evolving terrain conditions, forcing competitors to adapt continuously throughout the stage.
Within the Breslau community, the Hannibal Stage has earned legendary status over the years. Completing it is considered a major achievement in itself and often becomes the turning point of the entire rally.
ŻAGAŃ AND THE “POLISH SAHARA”
After the marathon transfer south, the rally enters its final and most spectacular phase around Żagań.
Known among competitors as the “Polish Sahara,” the area is characterized by vast sandy sections, military dunes and fast desert-like tracks that create a completely different racing environment compared to Drawsko.
Here, vehicle setup, tire management and driving precision become crucial. Deep sand can trap even the most experienced crews, while the fast open sections demand absolute commitment from drivers and navigators alike.
The final days in Żagań traditionally produce some of the most dramatic moments of the rally, with close battles for victory often decided only in the last kilometers of competition.
