Driver Lucas Moraes and co-driver Armand Leon are parting ways with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing W2RC (TGR W2RC) following the conclusion of this year's FIA World Rally-Raid Championship. Dennis Zenz, who has been co-driving with Seth Quintero during the 2024 and most of the 2025 seasons, will also leave the team.
All three crew members joined the team in 2024 as part of TGR W2RC’s initiative to nurture emerging rally-raid talent, in line with GAZOO RACING’s overall philosophy of developing people through motorsports. Their professionalism, and rapid progression have contributed greatly to the team's continued success, playing a vital role in securing both the 2024 and 2025 manufacturers' titles. Furthermore, Lucas won the 2025 Drivers’ Championship, highlighting his consistent all year performance.
Andrea Carlucci, VP Product Planning & Marketing at Toyota Europe commented: ‘Two years ago, we took the decision to renew the team and to bring on board a new generation of promising drivers and co-drivers. The drivers’ title for Lucas is the ultimate proof that they have more than earned their right to be in the W2RC championship, the pinnacle of rally-raid. We will miss Lucas, Armand and Dennis, but we are proud of what we have achieved together and wish them all the best for their future.”
