Coast 2 Coast Rally 2024: Renewed and spectacular 2024 edition was presented by Peñafiel

With the participation of more than 60 national and international drivers and riders, the sixth edition of the Coast 2 Coast Cross Country Raid Rally presented by Peñafiel will be held from February 17 to 23 in the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Oaxaca, with a route of 1,500 kilometers divided into five stages.
At a press conference held at the Carajillo Miyana restaurant, Patrick Reyes, operational director of the event, informed that very experienced riders from all over the country, as well as from the United States, Canada and Latin America will be competing.
"We have been working for six months on this event, the riders are going to be very happy. It will be the safest edition, we will know where all the participants are, to locate if they have a medical or mechanical emergency, we will have two intensive care ambulances," explained Reyes Morrison. "In addition, each competitor will carry a thermal sheet, which is the size of a napkin, a lighter and three liters of water," commented Patrick, who announced that the time trial will be held for the first time in the surroundings of San Jose del Pacifico, Oaxaca, in a diameter of about 50 kilometers and not on the beach as it was done before.
The organizer of the Rally highlighted that also as a novelty for this edition there will be a prologue in Boca del Rio, Veracruz, before the first stage, which will serve to remove the nervousness of the pilots, as well as to define the starting order and will grant time bonuses to the winners.
He explained that this edition will have the following categories:
- Rally Raid: Competition mode where pilots have to complete in the shortest time possible all the checkpoints along the five stages of the race navigating with roadbook and is divided into 6 categories (Rally Pro, Rally 1, Rally Raid, Maxi Rally).
- UTVS-SXS: Category designed for UTV / side by side / SXS vehicles, which travel a route specifically planned for this type of vehicle. They navigate by roadbook
- ATVS-QUADS: Category designed for ATV / ATVS-QUADS vehicles, which travel a route specifically planned for this type of vehicles. They navigate by roadbook.
- GPS: New category perfect for beginners who can enjoy the same competition route, but more relaxed by navigating with the Global Positioning System.
He mentioned that the Rally has five stages distributed throughout the three states with different mileage each one, besides they are new stages that no one has ever been through and each driver faces something unknown every day.
The experienced rider explained that the prologue will take place next Sunday, February 18, to give way to the Red Bull stage on Monday, February 19, from Veracruz to Jalcomulco. One day later, the Peñafiel 1 stage will take place from Jalcomulco to Tehuacán, Puebl
