The fifth edition of the Coast 2 Coast Cross Country Raid Rally will be held from February 12 to 17, which will bring together more than 100 outstanding national and international pilots, who will challenge the more than 1,600 kilometers that make up the cross-country sporting modality.
At a press conference, held this Thursday at Carajillo Napoles were Antonio Sánchez Aldana of BMW Grupo Bavaria; pilots Mauricio Varela and Ladislao Hernández; organizers Patrick Reyes and Jaime Migoya to present a new edition of the Cross Country Rally Coast 2 Coast 2023 that after its last edition in 2018 returns at the request of national and international pilots and riders.
The organizers announced that the competition will take place on the most varied and spectacular roads in the states of Veracruz, Oaxaca and Puebla, with the support of state and municipal governments, as well as Red Bull, Jeep, Garmin, Quaker State, BMW Motorrad and VRIMConnect.
Riders from Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the United States and South Africa, among others, will participate in this sporting event, which will start at the Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz seawall and end in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.
They explained that the cross-country motorcycling journey will take place in four modalities: two-wheel motorcycles, ATVs, razors, UTVs and overland - 4×4 all-terrain trucks.
Each of the participants will be provided with a navigation system (roadbook), which will have marked points and intersections to guide them along the route, and in which each pilot will have to use his skill and experience to reach the finish line in the best time.

The first day of the adventure will cover a distance of more than 300 kilometers, leaving from Veracruz to Jalcomulco; the second day will cover more than 450 kilometers more, from Jalcomulco, Veracruz, to Tehuacan, Puebla.
On the third day, they will travel another 400 kilometers from Tehuacán, Puebla to the capital of Oaxaca.
On the fourth day, the route will cover more than 350 kilometers from the city of Oaxaca to San José del Pacífico, and on the last day of the race the drivers will travel more than 2000 kilometers from San José del Pacífico (Rancho "Las Moras") to Playa Zicatela, in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca.
