In the province of Córdoba, the Desafío Ruta 40 YPF INFINIA, which will be held from June 1 to 7 in Argentina and will be the fourth round of the World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC), was officially presented.

This official presentation and press conference was held at the Bicentennial Civic Center Auditorium of the Government House with the presence of the Governor of the Province of Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, David Eli (organizer of the Desafío Ruta 40), Agustín Calleri (President of the Córdoba Sports Agency), Gabriel Raies (Board Member of the Córdoba Sports Agency), Manuel Calvo (Minister of Government of the Province of Córdoba) and Manuel Calvo (Minister of Government of the Province of Córdoba): Manuel Calvo (Minister of Government of Córdoba), Juan Pablo Quinteros (Minister of Security), Daniel Pastore (Ministry of Community Liaison, Protocol and Communication Córdoba), Gabriel Musso (Member of the Board of Directors of the Córdoba Tourism Agency), David Urreta (President of the Córdoba Lottery); along with the presence of local riders Nicolás Cavigliasso and Valentina Pertegarini, who will compete in the Challenger class; Mariano and Facundo Viel, the brothers who will compete in the Quad category and Jeremías Pascual, who will compete in the motorcycle category

“So far, we have 103 participants registered when the registration period has not yet ended. The Desafío Ruta 40 YPF INIFIA will have the best riders in the world coming to Argentina and also, the race will have a great participation of national competitors. This edition will mix rally roads, dry rivers, dunes.... will be an ideal balance of terrains, which I think all the pilots will enjoy a lot along with the presence of the great public that will be present", said David Eli about the imminent arrival of the race that will take place in the provinces of Córdoba, San Juan and La Rioja.

In turn, Martín Llaryora highlighted what it means that the province of Córdoba will once again receive a rally event of international level: “I want to give special thanks to the organization of this Desafío Ruta 40 and in particular to David Eli, who is always fighting to bring these international events to Argentina. To talk about Córdoba is to talk about rally. We lived, in our youth, the golden age of the world rally with what it meant and is for here. Cordoba is positioned for these races at national and international level. A folklore is generated around the rally that many young people will be able to see now for the first time. Many will be able to feel again an international race and enjoy this worldwide event. It is a great joy for us to have this race”.

Likewise, Gabriel Raies commented: “We are grateful that this event is possible. I think we are going to enjoy this race in a spectacular way. We will work to make this competition a success”.

The Desafío Ruta 40 YPF INFINIA is already being held in the province of Córdoba.
