  • The 10th Jalapão Rally will feature numerous attractions. Arrival and awards party at Praia da Graciosa in Palmas (TO)
  • The event will take place from June 17 to 22, starting and finishing in the Tocantinense capital, passing through São Félix (TO).

The 10th Jalapão Rally, valid for the Brazilian Rally Raid Championship, will have five days of competitions, including the prologue, attractions at the start and finish and a splendid route. The route will cover more than 1,000 kilometers, much of it on sandy terrain, between timed sections and off-roading, passing through two Brazilian states - Tocantins and Maranhão - on June 17 and 22.

To celebrate a decade of the traditional event, which has included the state of Tocantins in every edition, the organization has planned a party on Saturday 22 June. The caravan will be welcomed by the local population at Praia da Graciosa, on the banks of the Tocantins River in Palmas, from 2pm, with competitors and teams passing through the gantry with the arrival ramp and the awards ceremony at 7pm. Shortly afterwards, there will be another major attraction, a musical show with a “surprise” band that will add a festive touch on Tocantins soil.

This will be the second time that the arrival of the Jalapão Rally will take place at Praia da Graciosa, the first being at the event's debut in 2015. Entries to take part in the adventure are open for the Car, Motorcycle, Quad and UTV categories.

The 2024 edition will measure the teams' technique, endurance, skill and strategy. The drivers and navigators will face tough stretches, with lots of gravel, trails, farm roads, lots of sand and high-speed stretches.

“The event should repeat the success of the last nine years, as we have already established ourselves as one of the biggest rally events in the country. We are committed to offering an extremely high-quality route from start to finish,” says Henrique Arena, director of Arena Promoções e Eventos.

THE ROUTE

Starting on June 16, the Convention Center, located in Parque do Povo - Área Verde 406 Sul, Av. NS 10, s/n - Plano Diretor Sul, in Palmas (TO), will open its doors for the teams to set up their boxes in the support park and all the official pre-start programming will take place there, including the race secretariat and vehicle inspections.

On Tuesday (18), Capim Dourado Shopping will host the Jalapão Rally. The prologue is scheduled for 1 p.m. and then the cars will go to the closed park located in the parking lot. The briefings for the four days of races start at 6pm and the promotional start takes place at 8pm with the public, press and local authorities present.

On Wednesday 19th, the first of four stages of the 2024 edition will start, heading for the city of São Félix/TO. From Thursday 20th to Saturday 22nd, the caravan will be camping in São Félix/TO, where the stages will be in a loop format. On Saturday, the fourth stage leaves São Félix for the final stage and arrival in Palmas/TO. The event closes with the prize-giving ceremony, which will award trophies to the top five competitors at Praia da Graciosa.

The Jalapão Rally is organized by Arena Promoções e Eventos, sponsored by C6 Bank, FF Motorsport and CCR Aeroportos, with support from Capim Dourado Shopping, the Government of Tocantins, Palmas City Hall, São Félix do Tocantins City Hall, SiG Comunicação, PhotoAction, Imperial Filmes, Únicon and Sanderson Pereira Vídeos. The event is supervised by the Brazilian Motorcycling Confederation (CBM) and the Brazilian Automobile Confederation (CBA).
