The duo of the team X Rally, Marcos Baumgart and Kleber Cincea, entered the struggle for the title of the Sertões 2023 by winning the seventh stage of the rally, played this Friday (18) between the Cearanese cities of Sobral and Cruz.

The result placed the Prodrive Hunter T1+ #302 duo in the vice leadership of the accumulated. Tomorrow, they set off for the final and decisive stage just 15 minutes from the leaders of the biggest rally in the Americas.

Marcos said the strategy for the final stage is to go to the attack, because in the rally anything can happen. "Tomorrow we will attack, as we have been doing from day one. We can't give up, because anything can happen, and we know that the rally only ends at the end. It's happened to me, 30 miles to arrive, I had a problem, and I missed the rally. It only ends in the flag," said the driver of the Prodrive Hunter T1+ #302.

The duo of the Prodrive Hunter T1+ #303, Cristian Baumgart and Beco Andreotti, even with a forfeit in the first part of the marathon, recovered, came to lead part of today's stage, and arrived at Cruz in the fourth position of the special.

Now, the competitors of the Sertões are preparing for the final stage of the rally, which will start from Cruz and return to Cruz, in Ceará in a stage that will have a total of 248 kilometers, of which 108 are displacement, and 140 are timed stretches.
