Rally Jalapão 2025 kicked off last Saturday in Palmas (TO)
The event takes place from June 14 to 19, with the start and finish in Palmas. The route passed through Ponte Alta, Mateiros, and São Félix in Tocantins. The official opening happened on Sunday, June 15, at Capim Dourado Shopping, starting at 6 PM.
Palmas (TO) – The 11th edition of Rally Jalapão featured five days of racing, but the big news this year was the course itself. The route covered around 1,200 kilometers, with about 800 kilometers of timed sections over four racing days, exploring new paths — 90% of them sandy stretches — between June 14 and 19.
The event attracted top teams from across the country in the car, motorcycle, and UTV categories, all competing for valuable points in the Brazilian Rally Raid Championship (CBM and CBA) — this was the third event on the calendar. A total of 64 vehicles and 112 drivers and co-drivers took part in the tough race, which featured gravel, farm trails, lots of sand, and high-speed sections.
Besides the official racing action, fans enjoyed side attractions like the prologue, a promotional start, and the official opening with presentations of all competitors. The awards ceremony took place at Capim Dourado Shopping.
Starting Saturday, June 14, teams set up at the service park at the Convention Center in Parque do Povo, Palmas. This was also where all pre-race activities took place, including admin checks, scrutineering, and shakedown sessions so teams could finalize their preparations.
On Sunday, June 15, Capim Dourado Shopping hosted the rally. The 16.32 km prologue got underway at 10 AM. Vehicles then moved to the closed park at the shopping mall’s parking lot at 2 PM. The general briefing for the four race days started at 4 PM, followed by the promotional start, which drew the public, media, and local officials.
The first of the four stages began on Monday, June 16, heading to Mateiros. On Tuesday, June 17, competitors raced to São Félix do Tocantins. Wednesday, June 18, featured a loop stage, with the rally camp remaining in São Félix. The final stage ran on Thursday, June 19, from São Félix back to Palmas. The event wrapped up with the awards ceremony at Capim Dourado Shopping, where trophies were handed out to the top five in each category starting at 5 PM.
The 11th Rally Jalapão was organized by Arena Promoções e Eventos, sponsored by Motiva Aeroportos and FF Motorsport, with support from C6 Bank, Capim Dourado Shopping, the Tocantins State Government, and the municipalities of Palmas, São Félix do Tocantins, Mateiros, and Ponte Alta, along with Resgate das Dunas, KTM Tocantins, SiG Comunicação, PhotoAction, Imperial Filmes, DFotos, Rally BR, Anube, and Sanderson Pereira Vídeos.
