Rally RN 1500 2024: Emotion and adrenaline mark the Rally RN 1500 prologue

Emotion took over the RN 1500 Rally on Tuesday afternoon (16) with the 6km Prologue, which defined the starting order of the competitors in the first stage of the event. On the banks of the Calcanhar Lighthouse, in Touros, on the north coast of RN, the competitors didn't let the rainy afternoon get to them and tackled the sandy terrain with determination.

The start of the first special (timed section) of the 2024 edition takes place tomorrow (17), at Morro dos Martins, after Tourinhos beach, in São Miguel do Gostoso, heading for Guamaré. There will be 33 km of initial travel from the park to the start, followed by 185 km on the stretch named "Rota das Navegações", through sandy terrain and breathtaking views.

Cars
In the car category, Gunter Hinkelmann and Weidner Moreira, from X Rally, took first place, followed by Luiz Nacif and Robson Schuinka, also from X Rally. Third place went to Flavio Lunardi and Fred Budtikevitz, from Bulldog Racing/X Rally Team.

Motorcycles
In the two-wheeled category, Honda Racing dominated, with American Mason Klein, Gabriel Soares and Argentinian Martin Duplessis taking the three best times. Yamaha's Gabriel Bruning and Ricardo Martins achieved the 4th and 5th best times respectively. French Yamaha rider Adrien Metge took the 7th best time, 53 seconds clear of first place.

In all, 22 competitors competed in the motorcycle category, including two women. Moara Sacilotti, from Musa, came 17th, while Raquel Stein, from MSL Motorsport, came 20th.

UTVs
In the UTVs, Bruno Varela, from Varela Can-Am Monster Energy, secured the best time, followed by Tatá Xavier and Leonardo Beleza. This discipline brought together the largest number of entries in the RN 1500, with 54 teams.

Quadricycles
In the quad bikes, Hélio Pessoa, from Fifth Avenue Racing, came out on top, followed by Giovanni de Castro and Jeferson Nobre.
